The cabin is built out of Tennessee Pine. It was finished in March of 2001. Some of the logs are over 40' in length. Main floor to ceiling is 27' or so. The bar and chandelier are imported from Europe. Custom kitchen cabinets are made from Alder. The sink in the kitchen island is hand hammered. All the fixtures in the kitchen are top of the line. All appliances (kitchen aid fridge, dishwasher, microwave and trash compactor - Kenmore Gas Range with electric and gas ovens) are new and under a transferable extended warranty. Wood stove in the basement is a high end Fisher model. Electrical panel has built in surge protection. Water filter is located in the laundry room. Roof is heavy gauge tin (not the cheap thin type. Under that is a thick foam layer made for cabins that has a high insulating value. Chinking is the newer Perma-Chink that is flexible so that it does not crack when logs settle. We think they have already done their settling. Basement walls are poured block. Floor in basement was a poured monolithic slab. It is now carpeted. Windows are double paned.
